I finally installed XP Pro and am wondering how you guys get your desktop icons to look smooth. Mine look like crap! All jagged. What's the secret?
no secret. you're prolly using old icons not designed for XP. look at your trash icon, if it's the default XP trash icon, then it's got smooth edges.

You also need to be running your display at 32bit color. You can't get the full XP icon effect (i.e. alpha-blending) at anything less.

Also, make sure Active Desktop is turned off. IE can't do proper alpha-blending... :dead:
