Royale mods are allowed, as long as you don't include the MS digital signature. Check my Royale thread...

Are you stupid? Royale mods are OK so long as no part of it is from the official MS version. I could make an exact replica of Royale and release it so long as I made every graphic by hand. It doesn't matter if it looks the same as the MS one; all that matters is who originally made the graphics.

yeah i would actually like to have a nromal start menu too.

The only thing I've noticed is that when using black, I think it would be better to color the "turn off" and "log off" buttons at the bottom of the start menu.

So wait a minute here...the original Royale cannot be posted at all at Neowin, yet a mod of something banned at Neowin can be posted? Am I the only one here who sees that there is something wrong with that? I see no evidence of recreating the theme as his own new theme. He said he modded the theme, not remade it. I can see a reason to allow recreations or reworks of the theme, but to mod something that has been banned from being posted here, and then post it is pure crap.

Just because he added the color schemes, changed the start menu, and toned down the taskbar does not give him the right to redistribute this pile of crap VS as his own, mind you he said he modded it so I'm not bashing him. Most of you have the wrong idea about this whole Royale business in my honest opinion.

EDIT: heh, I just noticed that you spelled "Royale" different three times...in the zip it is Royal, the thread title is Royle, and in your post it is Royale. Nice work buddy .

I love your theme, but could you make a version with full sized start menu instead of collapsed? Great job.

Better than original, more colors, released faster.

I also second other reviewers opinion in favor of a normal start menu. And colored LogOff/Shutdown buttons for black color.

I think he means when he extracts it, it doesnt show up in the list.
The same happened to me, so i deleted an extracted again, seemed to work.

best royale i seen so far, thanks for the contribution, using it now and liking it very much. Took me away from some minimal vs's. All we need now is a really good wallpaper to go with it aside from the many out now, which arent all that good imo... Once again great work and thanks for the vs...
