Mine has been an ongoing process for about a year now. The center of my arm contains kind of a tribal design with a face shadowed inside of it. Around that is several things blending into it, varying from a grim reaper, to a graveyard with a swirling sky, demons, trapped souls, skeletons, etc. It to me represents a life after death, although not a pleasant one. All my work has been hand needled, and doesn't use the trashy common ink you see in most places. Right now its a 1/2 sleeve, and i'll be beginning on the lower arm in the coming weeks, starting with most of the outlines. I'm the kind of person that likes to let the artist work, seeing where his imagination will take him, rather than choosing the typical out of the "Big Book Of Tattoos" that everyone gets these days (ie butterflies on the neck, tribal on the lower back, and other crap) Someday I hope to have both arms covered, perhaps my back too.

when i was getting my tattoo done, to my horror like 50 scallies walked in, u could tell there were all gonna get butterflys and all that common **** from ""Big Book Of Tattoos" ( although some good idears can come out of there )
i felt like slappin them in the face, and sending them all back to JJB's for some new Tracksuit bottoms

Lol! I know the guy that did my tattoos and he was telling me his "rules". If its a football badge or something "****", then he charges them like £10 more. If he likes the design, then he does it quite cheap. I had money knocked off because he knows me anyway, but he knocked an extra £5 off because he loved the design.

)

an iron cross? damm, thats a lame tattoo imo.
Bah. Ya gotta buy me a pint before I go showing you my tattoos.
Somehow I associate an iron cross with germany and war O_o but i'm probably totally wrong about that. Anyways, I'd never get a tatoo, but imo everyone should do what they like the best, so.. have fun with your new tat ^_^

Yeah... it used to be a symbol that some groups used. Now it's commonly associated with clothing brands, and other such related things.

Thanks for telling me ^_^
these are from glasgow & leipzig
I dont know why you would want a cross like that, if you know the history of who it has been identified with, I know its used on clothes and stuff, but I dont really see why it has been.

Whoops - I think it looks cool, but lol - now every black person he meets will spit on him in the street - its just as well he's welsh - not many black people there!
My mate has the Grim Reaper tattooed on the back of his right leg - it looks mighty, but I'd never consider getting one myself... way too permanent for a person like me who changes their mind way too often.

we do realize that you don't see it as a nazi thing and that you may have friends who don't mind. But let me tell you how i feel about it. I don't know you, heck, im sure you're a nice guy. But if i cross you in the street or meet you at some point and i see that on your arm, im more than probably going to either not talk to you or get relatively angry. This coming from a non religious or practicing jew.

probably it hasn't anything to do with nazi/swastika...
it's the symbol for the german military too:
American Firemen use it too.
Just like the Nazi's didnt come up with anything original, they stole it from somewhere else. It has nothing to do with them.
So what if [fool] got one.. it's his choice, not any of yours. He could get the towers burning on his back if he so pleased.

Only the outline hurts the most.. the rest is bearable
neck and innerelbow and behind the kneecap hurt the most. the wrist isnt very fun either.

Tatoo pain is different for everyone. I've seen girls screaming while getting done, and grown men crying in pain. I had my very first done with the typical needle gun, and its nothing compared to having it done by hand. Even then it doesn't bother me much. I just quit having it done with the powered needle because the quality is poor by comparison.
yeah... in my experience the outline hurt alot, but the filling in, is easy

Yeh the outline does hurt more, but after a while you get used to it.
It all depends on your pain threshold, the pain doesnt bother me.
