Ok, my Sony v150's are shot to hell and I'm going to kill myself if I have to deal with the crap they give me much longer. Anyways, I need new headphones and haven't been able to find any one set I could settle on. I have a few requirements that really make things tougher. I don't want ear buds, but I want closed ear in the same fashion of the v150's. Also, I need at least decent sound and nothing over like $60. I was looking at Seinheiser, but they're sets tend to be open eared and I don't want that. Any ideas?

I've got some Radio Shack Closed ear ones that sound freakin awesome for I think they were 69... but I think these are a bit bigger than you were looking for... 6 foot cord with volume slider.

The Sennheiser HD212 Pro might suit your needs.

They are an awesome set of headphones at a fairly modest price. thumbs_up.gif

I use the Sony MDR-D66's with my iRiver, they complement each other extremely well and are extremely comfortable. ( Plus the colours nearly match. ) Though they're a bit more than what you'd be looking to spend, there's always the option of the D22's which are closer to your price range. Either way, check out audiocubes and give em a look, they're definitely worth the purchase if you choose to do so. biggrin.gif

Radio Shack has their Pro355A Titanium headphones on sale for $20 (half-price). I have an older version of these.

They also have larger set on sale for $40.

You can get the Sony MDR-V300 for less than $50.

Get the Sennheiser's, I just picked up a pair and they're god damn awesome.

See, the reason I like the sony's is because of the small size even though they are closed ear. The 300's look awesome but the chord is 10ft long and that's just too much to walk around the streets with.

The Sein's look awesome but they are ginormous.

Take a look at these happy.gif

Those are pretty nice. The sensitivity is a little low and it doesn't "cup" your ear, but it's a viable option.

I hate to bump an old thread, but can someone do me a favor please and take a picture of their hd212 pro's next to their hand? I need an accurate size comparison. Also, how long is the cord on the pair?

id get the sony ear-budded. I bought jap versions, and they're the best earphones ive ever used. the name for it is "nude-ex" weird right? biggrin.gif

The EX70's aren't that spectacular.

Anyways, I'm still recommending you consider the D22 Eggos, they're cheaper than the D66's, but they sound excellent and are just as comfortable. happy.gif

the d22's are too big, so they are out of the question and I hate earbuds. I really just need to see a more descriptive pic of the 212's against something other than a white background.

gah, you people are not reading. I have decided on the 212's from sein, but am not sure exactly what size they are. I jus tneed a picture of them next to someone's hand or cellphone or iriver or something, preferably a hand. The only other pair I would consider is the d22 eggo's but the cord is only 1.5 feet long and I don't want to use the remote on my iriver, so they are out of the question.

Fair enough, just thought I'd give em a second recommendation.

Though the cord isn't 1.5 Feet long, it's 1.5 feet, without the extension, it comes with a secondary cord that extends it to around 4 feet, mainly meant for people who do have devices with remotes to have a choice of lengths.

Are the d22's as large as the 66's?
Zeni
They're exactly the same size, the only difference is that the drivers are smaller, and the headband is plastic instead of the metal/wire headband that the D66's have. ( The pictures I posted were of my D66's, but I've used both sets. )

They both fold up the same though.
bangbang023
Damn, that's just a bit too big. The nice thing about the v150's is their size. I really need to get a new pair though, I keep losing sound if the jack even shifts or turns a tiny bit.
