well i'm not really good at gfx so anyway, this my first start. sarah kuttner is a german tv star and i had a hard time finding any images of her. since i didn't find any wallpapers i thoughtto make one myself. i had to cutout a pic, smoothen the edges, little transform here and some colorediting there. the white background sucks but i don't know what to put there. come up with creative ideas.

Background, you could add a radial gradient (with the lightest color behind sarah), then play around with the layer blending modes.
Maybe add a drop shadow or pick a brush with a leaf or butterfly and add a few to the backdrop.

added the background. now i need to decide whether the logo/text should be with ot without the white background. i also need to redo/edit her hair and parts of the shoulder/back.

Coming along well, I think the text still works pretty well, but she could use some touching up... erm, her hair, graphically... ahem.

I would perhaps shrink the logo in the background so that you can see her full name, but apart from that, very fappable

Also perhaps doing a couple with different coloured backgrounds (blueish, greenish etc) i.e. keeping the image the same and just tinting the background
