System Even Viers shows the following error:

Error coded 1010

The DHCP service encountered the following error while cleaning  up the database:
An error occurred while accessing the DHCP database. Look at the
DHCP server event log for more information on this error.
I check the log for the time the error occured and get:

24,09/23/04,21:03:26,Database Cleanup Begin,,,,
25,09/23/04,21:03:26,0 leases expired and 0 leases deleted,,,,
25,09/23/04,21:03:26,0 leases expired and 0 leases deleted,,,,

Code 24 = IP address cleanup operation has began.
Code 25 = IP address cleanup statistics.

The only other entries in the log are code 11 "A lease was renewed by a client."

Not all code 24 and 25 don't produce errors, only every 2 or 3

Strange?

is it a warning or an error?

Try to restart your DHCP Service

It doesn't seem to be a problem, it's just saying that there was nothing to cleanup

It's an error acording to the System Log's, but in the dhcp log there is no error. And that it only occurs every second instance. That is what confussed me.

MS doesn't have anything on this "problem".

Sounds like the DHCP DB is corrupted. If this isn't a production server try this. Delete the Dhcp.mdb file, delete your scope and recreate it. You will have to stop your DHCP service if you want to delete that file.

If that doesn't work try uninstalling your DHCP service and reinstalling it.

If this is a production server make sure you have a backup, note the configuration of your DHCP server. Unsinstall the service and reinstall it. Do that on a friday night dude.

Have fun!!!!
