I'm not to sure where to put this, so sorry, but does anyone know if I can get student discount on the Online Apple UK store? Can I get it in my local highstreet Apple Store? How much do I get off and does this cover ALL apple products?

You can, but if you're in Further or Higher education, ring them up and say you're a FE or HE student - you'll get a bigger discount then.

If you're at your college, you might be able to access their FE or HE shop from there, if you can't, you'll just have to use the phone.

For example: at the time I bought mine, the standard education price for a 12" powerbook was £1,057, but when I rang the store and told them I was a HE student, it dropped to £988.

I was thinking of getting a miniIpod. I found a link which takes me to the Apple Futher Education website. I also noticed some of the refurbished ipods, which are even cheaper!

If I have a NUS card can i get a discount from any computer hardware?

Some games shops have an NUS card holder discount. I know for a fact 'Game' do (atleast in bath anyway)

The Apple Store needed me to email a scan of my institution's student card (not an NUS one).

I think my NUS card is my institution card. Its my Student Card. I thought I needed a seperaye NUS card until I noticed the little NUS sign in the corner of the card.

i have just purchased a 17 inch powerbook and with an education discount i paid £1736 from 2,200 so it is well worth itm i just rang through with me order, told them i was at coventry university and they gave me the discount straight away, dont know if they checked or not.

well when i registered my nus card last year they (apple) started sending me lots of nus related email.
