Full Version: RPC over HTTP doesn't work for Exchange 2003 SP1

My Exchange Server is running on Exchange 2003 SP1, Windows Server 2003, and is a single server configuration, when I try to follow the guide to setup RPC over HTTP (installed the component, selected backend server in exchange server properties, set clear text and NTDM authentication for RPC over HTTP virtual directory, modified the registry on ValidPorts), but still, when clients (myself) connect it doesn't work, no authentication window anything, Outlook just sits there and when it times out, says the Exchange server not found.

My server name (FQDN) is orange.<sampledomain>.com, the computer name is also registered in the DNS server for access outside the network (i.e. entering orange.<sampledomain>.com in my browser can get to the server), the same name is used in the ValidPorts registry key.

Anyone can offer any help?

Ah sorry, actually I did with a self-signed certificate and got my client computer to trust the CA, but I forgot to mention that. Still don't work

I was going to do that, but it didn't work either for me. Look for a post from me about it, you might find some information...

Have fun!!!
