I'm not sure if you understood my original post. The current estimated ship time for new orders of 20" iMac G5s is 3-4 weeks.

3-4 weeks? If that's the case you might as well drive to your local Apple store and pick one up...

you all should stop bitching about the video card. that's the only card apple online offers, it's not like he has a choice.

Great computers. Congratulations! biggrin.gif

Sweet man! biggrin.gif You need to get it Wall Mounted, i am damn curious how it would look! (With BT Keyboard & Mouse...)

There is one thing people buying the iMacs need to look out for,

If you plan on putting your own memory in, and the memory has heat syncs you'll need to remove them, the slots are so close the sticks won't fit.

Congrat's man.... I've order mine exactly like yours!!!! biggrin.gif

The only thing is that I've got only 512 Mb RAM (getting another 512 soon from crucial...).

I've placed my order 2 weeks and half ago, but still no signs of my mac.... sad.gif I hope I can see it at the end of this week.... blink.gif

I ordered my new G5 iMac a few weeks back and it shipped this past weekend from China. It won't arrive until the 13th of October. There are long waits on these things! sleeping.gif

My order, placed aug 31st, was supposed to be shipped before 09/30... And now it's 10/06!
It's the smallest model, + BT module... nothing else.

Grr!

But I saw on some other forums that more and more ppl have their order shipped.
On guy received his in 2 days after the status changed to Shipped.
And another one had his order shipped in less than one week!
.....
Mine was supposed to be on or before 30th for delivery, I got an email last night saying it would be monday at the earliest before it would ship out, and I just got an email this morning saying it has shipped! biggrin.gif

I'm so excited!

20" iMac G5, 1gig dual-channel ddr, 250gig hard drive, airport extreme, bluetooth keyboard, mouse and internal module.

Did u get the memory upgrade from Apple ?
I got mine from Crucial because the prices we SO MUCH higher on Apple...
Bling3k12
Yes, sorry to see that you bought your RAM through Apple. Apple will charge you an arm and leg for memory, usually TWICE what you can find on DealRam.com or Newegg even.

$1100+ to change 256MB to 2GB... I found better prices for 2GB @ around $600.

Woulda saved $400 right there.
