hi all, i've only had my 17" powerbook a week but can safely say i am amazed!

i want to put a shortcut to the applications folder on my dock but above the divider where the trash can and open apps/webpages etc are? atm i dont know how to do this, i have dragged the alias of the applications folder to the dock but can only add it below the divider, i want to put it under the finder icon at the top of my dock, im using quicksilver but id still like to put an applications shortcut on me dock!

thanks

As far as I know you can only put folders on the side of the dock with the trash can. Once you do this you can ctrl-click (or right click of course) on it and the folder contents will pop up.

The Dock is split up into two parts - Apps and Files / Folders. You can't put folders or files on the left side, this is for Applications only.

This might be of help to you, there's a small video included too. smile.gif
