I just saw the link on Apple support about the repair programme for PowerBook G4 15" models that exhibit white spots and were manufactured between July 03 and November 03.

I have a PB12" that was manufactured in that period. It has a white spot. It isn't covered by this programme because it is the 12" and not the 15". My question is this: I paid for the AppleCare plan, does anyone know if this will cover white spots?

BTW, I know there are numbers I can call. The number for Apple support in NZ is an Australian number. I thought I'd run it by you knowledgeable people before making an international call and sitting in queue for half an hour. Thanks smile.gif

I would assume it does as there is an obvious defect with the Powerbook; you may want to call Apple just to be sure.

Well I'm pretty sure apple care covers anything hardware related right? Except the battery...

I would pull out my info, but it hasn't came yet. I was lucky and have a 15" that is covered under that defect, but I still bought AppleCare to be safe...

So I don't see why they wouldn't fix it if you have AppleCare...
