Does anyone know if this is possible?

Basically the set-up is my PowerMac which has a bluetooth dongle connected to is, and a friends laptop, again with a bluetooth dongle.

The PowerMac is connected to my DSL line via a linksys WRT54G which is in turn connected to a D-Link DSL 300G+, in system preferences, there is an option to share the internet via bluetooth, yet only "to" ethernet (which makes no sense, nor does it work)

Any help/idea's appreciated. smile.gif

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be worth it... I can't pull more than 5-8kb/sec going from my phone to my PowerBook.

I'd say just get another ethernet cord, unless your networking hardware is too far away.

Bluetooth is 11mbps your phone is just slow. I can get 280kbps from my phone. But you are right in the way WiFi is better to use. Longer distance faster and more reliable... Oh and did I mention secure.

We know it's much more efficient to use simple CAT5, however my friend just purchased a BT dongle for his notebook and we thought it would be worth trying...
