How do you go about getting Student Discount? Can it be done online?

Basically my brother wants to get an new iMac, and i suddenly thought, he's at college, surely he can get a little off... Anyhow, err how is this achieved?

The info is Here, but its kinda sketchy. Is anyone studying @ college in the UK dealt with Apple, buying items from the store? If anyone can help us out, that would be cool...

Cheers guys,

Steve

I don't know how it is in the UK, but here in the Netherlands there is a special Education Store in which the discount is already calculated in the prices (here in Holland the educational discount is around 6%). If I place an order there I need to fax my a copy of my College ID-card after which my order is approved and sent to me. It's not much of a hassle, but I don't know how things are arranged on the other side of the North Sea wink.gif.

Hi Steve,

I too wondered about this very thing recently. I am a student at edinburgh university and found that if you go here: Apple UK Students and then click on store in the tabs up the top, you can then go onto the proper student store with all the nice discounted prices!! biggrin.gif

He'll need to access it from on campus, as it won't work off campus. That is unless the college provides a proxy server he can use.

Hope this all helps.

Oh, I got my iBook today, all I need is OS X and I will be sorted. Have enjoyed it so far!!
