Actually read the story, it's pretty sad.

Seemed like a cool guy. Just got a few issues...

Not really sad IMO. It's sad for his family, but he got into a high speed chase and death is always a risk. I am glad that he died and not an innocent person.

i heard something like he was burned by some kind of acid as the truck burned.

that would suck yo.
