When doing a firewire capture from my DV camera what format does iMovie store these captures in.

In Windows based progs I've used it captures in AVI.

I want to be able to capture in iMovie and then transfer the files to my windows box and edit them there....

Any ideas?

Once you capture a clip in iMovie, you can export that clip to whatever the Windows program accepts (probably non-compressed AVI or DV wrapped in AVI)...

If you want to edit in Windows... why not just import direct to Windows?

If you try and move any resonable sized DV Stream, you'll be looking at lots and lots of GIGS.

Even better, import it into your Mac and actually use iMovie wink.gif rolleyes.gif
