Hello, I'm trying to download a clip from my Canon Powershot A80 onto my mac. iPhoto does not load the data, nor can I get iMovie to do so. Is there an app out there that I can import the clip in question with? Thanks in advance.

Image Capture

It's in your apps folder.

I'm just wondering, can you open it in your finder and then just drag it to somewhere on your HD?

Yeah, thats what I do with video clips is just drag them over in the finder. I don't think there is a program that automatically imports them from a digital camera like iphoto does with pictures.

Really? I can't do that, my camera does not actually show up as a device unless I use iPhoto or ImageCapture.

Only cameras that are USB Mass Storage devices are useable from the finder.

Just for clarification, a camera that utilizes flash memory cards does not qualify as a Mass Storage device?
Fluid
If it uses a flash memory card, you might want to purchase a card reader. That worked for me.
