so i applied a rather white-ish wallpaper the other day, and noticed dark spot on my screen near the bottom left, and in the bottom right corner, I phoned my local retailer and they said there is nothing they can do, apple has to dance with it, and that they've seen it happed before and nothing was fixed as it wasn't deemed a faulty issue, but they suggested I say it is interfering with my work....anyone have similar issue or know what I can do??
Most probably a dead pixel. Most companies have a dead pixel policy. I believe Apple's is seven, but I'll let someone else confirm that.
its a fading black spot....2-3 of them, the size of a dime to a quarter...the ibook was bought in july.
In that case, it may be a pressure point on the screen. Bashed or pushed the screen lately?
no, i care for this thing like its my child.

Damn! That has to be like what, 100 pixels? I think you should call Apple, or contact them from the support site and see what they have to say about it.
it looks like fading....gah, I dunno, I will call them during the week (brining it to my retailer on monday) What is with my luck with apple products lately

My iBook has a darker spot on the bottom where the dock it. It is only noticeable on light blue backgrounds like the OS X installer. I think it is from something that hit the screen there a while ago, I know it didnt come this way.
