Find me a good fast fairly easy distro that comes with a lot of software and hardware support and don't take hours of configureing.

Hmm ... A good one to learn C++ is: "C++ the complete manual" or something Published by Academic Service and QUE, in combination with "C++ for dummies"..

Install of the LAMP package
Apache then mySQL, and PHP
there is nothing quite like running ur own webserver off ur pc until it crashes on you
when im bored it's always fun to run multiple instances of X via
gdmflexiserver, and then nested X's (within a window).
See how far you can go before you crash

I'm kind of there myself. Everything just works for me in Windows and in Linux. If something doesn't work I know how to fix it. There doesn't seem to be any real challenges left in my PC. I remember when I used to wake up on a day and have to search for hours on how to fix sometimes the simplest but most annoying things.
Now I don't even know what to do with my PC any more. Linux took away my need to look for warez. Games kind of bore me - especally shooting ones. They are all pretty much the same... run after people (sometimes zombies) and shoot them... That's the story in about 70% or 80% of games out there.
So now I just read my email.
Maybe I should donate my free time to some group somewhere where people still do have PC related problems?
But it is a bit boring once you figure it all out.

Hmm well i already have apache + mysql + php on my other compuiter, but learning C++ would be nice although i can never find a good guide. Can someone post a link to a guide or to the name of a book that is really good in teaching C++.

I'de recommend OReilly C++ in a Nutshell, or if you've no clue about programming at all Wiley C++ for Dummies. SAMS C++ Unleashed is also a good book, personally I use all three for different things.
How about recompiling your system, maually. That is, take each component of your system, starting from glibc and recompiling it by going through the ./configure && make && make install process. It'll take a while, but it's something to do.

Set up another machine, and have fun using MPD (
http://www.musicpd.org/ ) together with clients to control your stereo from anywhere in the building, as long as you have access to a windows/linux-enviroment or a webbrowser.
Or, emerge random stuff and see what they do. With thousands of packages in portage, you can keep on going for quite some time.
