Because most custom logons i dl, when shutin down it just shows a blank screen of the logon without saying "login off, saving settings, shutin down". Is there a way to add it or ????

Hiya all,
Try "Start" -> "Run..." -> Type: "gpedit.msc". (This opens Group Policy Editor)
In the new window, click on "Computer Configuration" -> "Administrative Templates" -> "System".
In the right pane scroll down to "Remove Boot / Shutdown / Logon / Logoff status messages" and double click on it. In the "Properties" window check the "Disabled" radio button. Click "Ok" and restart the machine.

So far I have only found one custom logon/logoff screen that does it...simplexp. Can be found over at DA.
