Ok, I've just reformatted my computer and I'm trying to install my Audigy 2 NX. However, I can't find my installation cd, and none of the updates on the Creative website will work unless I've first installed the drivers off the cd. Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone know how I can get the drivers from the cd? Any other options besides using the Creative drivers? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you running Win2K or XP?
http://rapidshare.de/files-en/268189/Sound...rivers.exe.htmlThis is a self extracting file about 9MB
It's the core drivers not the full cd.
Just click on 'CTZAPXX.exe' to start the Creative Device Driver Installation Program.
That's it.

Yes bu they won't work unless you have the original CD (Audigy 2/4's). I think the latest update could work without the CD but you only get core functionality.

ManroWeb: Thanks for the cd

Btw, before i found this cd i realized that you dont really need it.
You can just go to creative site, choose drivers - autoupdate (IE only) - get the main drivers to get you card working.
AND you can still change settings without all the extra software by running
C:\Program Files\Creative\SBAudigy2\Program\WDM\COMMON\CtPanel.exe
this can set EAX and speaker settings

I just registered on this site to say thank you. I lost my CD about 4 months ago, and my Audigy has just been collecting dust. It's installing now!
PS: The rar file I downloaded had a CRC error... not sure if it was just my connection. Anyways WinRAR repair fixed it...

Yes i am aware of this. Using the CD install adds everything into control panel, and gives you all the audigy/audigy 2 apps

Someone else had a problem with corruption. It was only a sample wav file which was corrupt. I may re compress and upload again. But many people have successfully used this without any problem
Hi:
I am in the same position. I bought my Audigy 2 NX from eBay, and it came without the Application CD. I went to the link on this post, but the CD wasn't there any more. Is there any chance that you could put it up there for me to snag it? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

As someone from Neowin reported to Creative that i was hosting this file, i was forced to remove it under copyright laws
I cannot re host it.
If you want it then i suggest contacting creative for replacement cd, or alternative search
Contact me via pm for further query

Contacted ManroWeb to no avail, unfortunately.
I have created a temporary FTP space with roughly 20GB-30GBs of bandwidth or so. If someone would be kind enough to provide the original download, it may aid those searching for a solution to this issue.

I'm currently uploading it to ActuaryTM. it will be there in about 4 hours, so anyone needing it better hurry and pick it up before that guy contact's Creative again.
I find it ridiculous that someone would report this, especially since its not like we have stolen hardware, we just have a ****** up disc. why should i ask creative for one and have to pay a fee?
That's ridicolous, they have TERRIBLE support, so screw them.
This file is not 172mb however, this is the full iso, with no CRC errors.
the filesize is 549.14mb

I forgot who gave this to me but it was from someone in neowin, possibly bang bang? not sure, can't remember, but it's the same retail one as the green disc you get with the audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro
Enjoy when he gives out the info! (if anyone even needs it to begin with besides him, heh)

Initial download successful, and checked against Meshuggah's original.
Compressed the image (from 550MB to 400MB), and am uploading the result. Will be a .RAR archive consisting of 9 volumes, and a file verification file.
For those of you who have already sent messages, I will PM the login credentials once the upload is complete.
Many thanks again, Meshuggah.

ok, i'm not sure exactly how to use this file now. I already installed Mediasource, but I''m missing the surround mixer, EAX console, etc. All i have is Creative Audio converter and Creative Mediasource Player. Is there a way you can install them off the CD without going through the installshield program

Just to let everyone looking for the Audigy 2 NX install cd, the one currently being passed around on this forum is for the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum. While some of it's applications do work for the NX, it doesn't have the specific apps that work with the NX. The one main thing that I noticed was missing was the speaker volume control (change volume of each individual speaker). However, this feature is available in the NX install cd, along with the original drivers. Fortunately for everyone here, the Soundblaster Audigy 2 NX install cd is currently being released on eMule (eDonkey network)
Here is the ED2K link (you need eMule, eDonkey, or Shareaza to open it):

Using eMule, do you have to be connected to any server in particular?
I've actually ordered the install cd from creative's shop
http://uk.europe.creative.com/shop/product.asp?prod=547, but it's still not been delivered (ordered 2 weeks ago). If I either download it or receive the CD i'll make it available on my pc for emule transfer.
