ok, I cant get a screenie, but what I can tell you is that whereever I click my mouse, be it next to an image, or in the middle of a link, that blinking line comes up. it is REALLY fricken annoying. can someone tell me how to fix this? I have reinstalled FF 1.0 already and it didnt fix it.

Yea, that means it will just switch to the mode you selected by pressing f7 that doesn't mean f7 will no longer change that. It just means it won't warn you next time.
