The iPodders have a topic, so should we! Loving my iHP-140, and now it's all wrapped up in an iSkin! Lovely. Thrilled to bits with the player, take it everywhere I go.

But you iRivers voted and commented on our poll as well. Shouldnt we get a choice in the poll?
Null Vote - Other.
Timmah
Nov 21 2004, 16:03
Hmm well, I thought seeing as the iRiver's going to be the minority we'd just end up with a load of "Other" votes and no "true" percentage at the end.
Sorry GT
Nah, no worries.

why are you using the old modeling system? It's simply hxxx now, no longer ihp-xxx. I, myself, have an h120.
Timmah
Nov 21 2004, 17:17
Because all the devices are labeled iHP, it could be confusing for those who don't know about the name change.
Hey! Where is the "I don't use an iRiver, I use something else" choice

i really wish i had the 40gigger though, my 20 is full.

I got a iHP-120 because it was the first model to have all black and I don't need 40 GB (hell, I don't need 20 GB). I love it to pieces.
HP120 here, don't regret it. To me, having 20 gigs less is something I can deal with when that extra $$ goes to a sweet, sweet pair of headphones to compliment the player.

the thing is a lot smaller than I thought it'd be.

Well if we're "doing" photos...
H120 here... would love to have an iSkin but I don't have a credit card so I can't order and ship here or something...
AnywaysI'm happy with my 20gb and I think it's nearly the perfect size, I've got a couple of GB's left for the occasional files I need to transfer from 1 PC to another without burning files, so it's perfect

You knows it.
I was torn over the colours too! In the end I figured out it would eventually get a bit battered and torn so I'd probably end up buying another. I might just buy another one anyway, I got a pack of shades!
if you don't mind me asking, where did you get your iskin from? i've looked at advancedmp3players.co.uk and they have them for £29 inc. free shipping, but they're not in stock. misticriver has them, but i think they charge $15 to ship it to the UK
Timmah
Nov 23 2004, 16:19
$9.95 from what I remember... came in 4 days!
iSkin - H140 (Arctic)
Pack of 5 iSkin Shades
Came to... £27.50ish
INC shipping!
in that case i'll be getting it from misticriver

edit: just got the carbon one from there total $37.20. $9 shipping to the UK

The iSkins are brilliant. I have Arctic on my black H-140, with a green shade in it at the moment.
But of course, the real beauty is within the players capabilities as a DAP, storage device and voice recorder

how about ipod man!
Timmah
Nov 25 2004, 18:34
Yeah, how about
Less battery life
Lower sound quality
Less features
Software required for music transfers
More expensive in general
No LCD remote to allow you to navigate the whole unit without taking it out of your pocket?
Shut up, troll.
