You can't sync with two different libraries.
noyb
Yes but you have to have it formated as FAT32 and you can't sync with two librarys but you can put it into disk mode and drag stuff over manually.

i thought i could sync with two different libraries as long as i made sure to do the manual sync instead of the automatic sync

Actually, I believe there's a program that will let you sync with two libraries. I'll post a link to it if I can find it.

No, there used to be a software to do it (sync two libraries), but apple made it closed down.

Oh, alright. I looked around for it earlier and wasn't able to find it. I guess that's the reason why.

iPodLounge is a good place for iPod help/info. wink.gif

I guess you could sync it with the mac, plug it into your PC, use a program to take songs off the iPod, add those to your PC library, format FAT32, and then sync the PC's entire library

That is a HELL of alot of work!

yeh that is a hell of a lot of work.. to bad we can't just plug and play on macs and pcs
goheels681
It is a bit much, but it'd be a one time thing

sweet i just found out i can format the ipod for a pc and my powerbook will still recognize the ipod. i can add tracks from both my pc and powerbook.

But, from what I've heard, there's no way to sync with 2 libraries without some sort of hack, hence the explanation above

sure you can.. i was over at ipodlounge and they said as long as you format the ipod in windows.. and turn on manual sync. you can plug it into other macs or pcs and add whatever tracks you want to the ipod. im waiting for mine to charge then ill add music from my pc, then my mac. it makes sense though, apple can read the windows file format, but windows can't. so just make sure to format it in windows first.
