Dear Neowinians,

If in case I need to format, all my playlist should be gone sad.gif How can I save all my smart playlist / normal playlist so after format I can readd them back on and iPod won't get all the music deleted (set as automatic syncing) when it recognizes none of the playlist are there?

Or put it this way, how do you backup before format so after format you can still auto sync the same way as before without losing any song in the iPod?

Thank you!

Can't you get one of the programs to get songs FROM your iPod to computer? I know there is one but I don't know the name

i THINK, but am not sure, the playlists are stored in the "iTunes 4 Music Library". depending on your os, that file could be one of 2 places.

osx: username/Music/iTunes
windows: i think it defaults to my music or something, i can't remember.

Win: *:\Documents and Settings\*\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music Library

I would think that it'd only work as long as you have the music back in the exact same place as before
