Hello Everyone,

I download Fedora core 3 DVD x86 and i checked sum it, and everything matched. I burned it into a dvd using 8x as the speed. I pop it in, restart the computer, and fedora loads up. i press enter and it says that the kernel is loading, and something else, and then everything loads...but then nothing happens. i have a blank screen and nothing happens. Please help

This doesnt really help the case but it is good if you try to boot it on another computer and see if it works there.

When you get a blank screen (or even before), try pressing the various key combinations, like the following:

CTRL + ALT + F1
CTRL + ALT + F2
CTRL + ALT + F3
and so on...

and see what they show for status on what is going on. These are your various tty terminals, and will display messages on what is going on during the install.

It may be trying to use a graphics mode that your monitor doesn't support.

Try selecting the text install option, and see how far you get.

Also try pressing Caps lock and see if the light on the keyboard turns on. If it does not, you might have a kernel panic probably due to a faulty image or some hardware issue.
