This app has been around a while now, but having just done a big update on it and brought it up to version 2.0 I thought i'd move it out its original forum in Software Discussion/Assistance down to here. Dominik originally asked for it and it grew from there, and as people asked for features, I added them.
It can sit transparent on your desktop, or tick away in your system tray. I tried to make it as customisable as possible, but if you wish me to add anything, tell me!
If anyone wants to contribute any names/icons/feedback/new-features/bugs, PM or e-mail me (my e-mail is on the settings tab of the app)
I've attatched a screenshot anyway.

a stupid small request, but I would love it if somehow, when I startup my computer or something, I get almost like an audio thing, which kinda reminds me of the countdown, this is especially true if you have like, maybe a few minutes left for an auction to end, and you want a reminder then, not when the time ends.
Ofcourse, you could specify the audio file yourself and the time intervals the audio file kinda starts or something to remind you of it. For example, I would love it to have like a project due in the next 2 days and when I start up my computer, it makes this noise which kinda tells me to stop slacking of and get to work. I don't know, I know it will definately help me.
So, basically:
1. specify audio file for
2. notifications BEFORE the countdown ends which you can customize.
Thanks,
dpv

another silly request, but I think it can make things easier. Instead of just having around 4 locations where this program can sit on, would it also be possible to check a box and then be able to drag the counter around anywhere you want on your desktop?

That was one of the first features that came in. Right click it, and unlock its position. Should I make this option more clear do you think?
It does mention this on the position tab if you read at the bottom

I finally got it working, but how do you get it to say, until christmas or untill my birthday etc?
Just add it to the 'Format' box onn the settings page, eg:
$D Days - $H:$M:$S until Summer

I don't think so... I've pretty much finished with this project now (unless anyone else has anything to add) so there wouldnt be much updates. plus its got its own thread on Neowin, which would probably get more hits anyway.
Thanks for the offer though.

Doesn't appear to support dual monitor. Want to put it on my second monitor.. with my calendar.. contacts.. widgets etc... but it wont move onto it.
Any chance for a fix for this?
MdSalih
OK; I've added an option to the Misc tab to stop it from preventing you moving it off-screen. I don't have multi-monitors etc to test this so if it doesn't work, or only partly works, give me a yell and I'll have another look.

Yep, it lets me move it onto my second monitor

Although having "Enable Automatic Size/Positioning" ticked by default had me a little puzzeled as it kept jumping back onto my main monitor

On a side note, what did you use to develop this app and how did u get it to be transparent. I'm trying to make a form transparent using AlphaBlend and it just doesn't want to work

MdSalih
I used Delphi 6. To make it transparent, set AlphaBlend to True, then set AlphaBlendValue to 0-255 depending on how transparent you want it.

XgD - can you package it in an installer?
Yes... but as it is only one file, I don't see much need. Whats the reasoning?

The reason being to create short cuts easily as well as add an uninstall option. Just makes it easy to deploy.
Well, it's been a while since I updated this app, so I've fixed a few more bug thingies, added thingies, and its all packaged in a nice installer for velkymx.
Same URL as always:

can you provide an updated version with no installer?
thanks mate

I would like to suggest the timer to recur hourly or x hourly
such as 8 hourly countdown to remind me to take medicine.
It will be nice to have such an additional feature.
Thanks for the program.

FYI: dot1910's post should be disregarded as the feature was already incorporated into the program.
Instead of bothering the author, I was wondering if any of the users; or, I guess the author could tell me the format string to allow two lines to show up.
For example... right now it is
$D Days - $H:$M:$S ---> 14 days - 08:07:43
I would like it to say:
FAT EXAM:
$D Days - $H:$M:$S
displayed as
Fat Exam:
14 days - 08:07:43
But I cannot figure out what the code is for newline.
Tried: /n /r \n \r ; not sure what else to try... any ideas? Or not possible.
Or just have it word wrap? Any info would be helpful.
