For already quite a while I'm looking for a driver for the modem inside the Acer Aspire 1511Lmi laptop, I've done some extensive searching and driver trying before.

Quick note: The driver provided on the Acer Support site doesn't work, the Agere AC'97 modem driver. (Intel 537)

Hope someone can help me on this one, would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried all drivers from the Acer support site already, they have provided a non-working driver. Maybe because the Aspire 1511Lmi uses a different modem than the Aspire 1500. sad.gif

Have you tried installing it manually in device manager?

Of course, it says the specified location (yes, I clicked the inf file tongue.gif) doesn't contain any information about my hardware.

Do you have any recovery discs? Take a look on them if you do. They might be on there, it would require some looking though. A bit of advice - Agere is also Lucent from what I know.

You have an AC'97? It's intregated, flash a new BIOS or update your motherboard.
