dude when the system call for cd or other media of drivers, choose I find in other specific local and in tab modems choose standard windows driver@28.800 kbps for example sometimes works good or another radical solution more simple buy one new modem is cheap <and whql for windows xp of course> thumbs_up.gif

What i normaly do with modems is use Google, and search for the chip number....for example:-

I have a Rockwell 56k modem here...and on the main chips it says:

RS56-PCI
R6793-12
@ROCKWELL 98
9920 B81871.5
MEXICO

So in google i put "R6793-PCI" and the second result was:-

http://www.driverforum.com/modem/597.html

Always works for me tongue.gif

Just take out ur modem, and right down the numbers on the main chip....google em tongue.gif

Edit: Maybe i should of put "R6793-12" instead....but hey tongue.gif (just woke up)
