do you think something like that or the radtech sleeve type case would be safe to allow me to chuck my powerbook into my backpack or something? bad idea? go for a dedicated backpack case such as the dc shoes | incase backpacK?

yes those are awesome trust me get that and put your pb in it and throw it down a flight of stairs and it will be 100% fine its like a bomb shelter

I recommend Marware. Yes it's more expensive but it's designed for Powerbooks so it fits a lot better.
