Step 1:
Open Notepad. Copy and paste the following:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile]
@="Shortcut"
"IsShortcut"=""
Step 2:
Go to file, save as. Click on all files, and call it shortcut.reg
Step 3:
Exit Notepad, and double click the file. It will say a new entry is about to be entered into the registry. Click OK.

Did exact thing and I find myself not being able to start anything "Explorer"
weather if it's my Local Disks, or Internet Explorer.
I click on it then my taskbar disappears for a while and then it comes back but my Internet Explorer or My Documents still have not opened
Anything to fix my problem, it just happened after I did this 'tweak'. Any thoughts of reversing the effect?
I have tried System Restore but it did not work. So I wonder if it's the 'tweak' that screws it up. Thank GOD for FireFox.
P.S. I have been having trouble with my explorer closing on me while I am using it (My Documents, Local Disk) but it has never occured to me that anything related to explorer does not open.
Do I have a virus? h4ck3r? bug? in my system, if so, how do I remove it.
P4, 512MB ram, Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2, using Microsoft Royale Theme (no patches)
Thank You,
