I still have the same from November. I just cant bring myself to change the awesomeness. Maybe I'll merge fvwm later and mess with that.

My desktop - on my brand new first time linux ubuntu box - is a custom background and milk 2.0. Nothing special really but will post it later on. I'm wondering if anyone could point me to some nice icon themes that go well with milk.... smile.gif

[IM G]http://img85.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img85&image=d8-Screenshot.png[/IM G] and remove the spaces between the IM and G for both sides of tag!.. syntax is important!

Just playing around with other people's stuff. The openbox theme is based on
GaMMa's OfficeBlue, but quite heavily modified. The MPD Client is based on one
originally written by oggy on the gentoo forums - I just hacked some of the
stuff out of it. Oh, and python rocks your socks tongue.gif

Sorry to post so soon again but I really wanted to show off my new found love for enlightement & xorg composite extensions (thanks rezza!)

If only I could work out how to start enlightenment with gnome instead of metacity... pinch.gif

That's an incredibly sleek desktop. thumbs_up.gif

I have a qq:

How did you manage to get torsmo to work with bitstream (sans-bold?)

Also, I noticed that you published a guide for Xorg-cvs + Composites. How would I be able to implement it in the standard package from Gentoo's portage? Would only the xorg.conf changes suffice?

I grabbed it from cvs. The version in portage is still 0.17 i think, and that doesn't support antialiased fonts, but there is an ebuild floating around the gentoo forums (search for "torsmo issues") which will let you use decent fonts. See the configs section of my site if you need a hint on how the font should be setup in the .torsmorc.

Yep, that will be fine... assuming that the nerw xorg installs an xcompmgr binary and a transset binary. If it doesn't (and i really don't know if it does or it doesn't) then you'll have to get those two from cvs or something. Details are in the same guide.

It's been a while since I last posted my desktop, so here goes nothin'. smile.gif

This is my main rig's desktop. While most of my other machines run wmi-10 as their wm, I decided to spoil this particular machine with Openbox + soft dropshadows. blush.gif

[Apps from Top-Left to Bottom-Right: Pypanel, Rox-filer (can't remember the Mimetype-set,) torsmo-cvs, pympc (python-based client for musicpd,) and gmrun.]

OpenBox is running the OfficeBlue theme, with a slightly modified Industrial gtk2 set.

Oh, and the wall is sunny-tropics by some vector-artist I discovered thanks to Neowin.

I can't edit my previous post any more, so here are a few additions that I decided to make after receiving a few pms:

The iconset is Etiquette

The Wall is Sunny Tropics - by bizarreSK

The thumbnails in Rox are of images created by Florian Freundt
igodit
w00t.gif CaKeY where can I get a desktop like that?

Ubuntu 4.10 / Gnome 2.8.1 - fairly generic with RoberTO's Digital Harmony theme, Etiquette icons, and Jens Wilke's LO-FI Firefox theme.

Your site looks very interesting and cool, but unfortunately I can't understand polish; have you got an english version of it?

p.s. Your wallpaper collection is excellent!
coxis
The english version , well i think about it but my counter on the site is about 100~150 visits a day. This is too small for me sad.gif and the most people are from Poland. Anyway i will consider to change not all to english , but maybe some of them , like menu , gallery , walls ...
I don't have the good idea to change to english , i have a texts about fedora linux in polish , also i had a news in polish language that will be still in polish so .... i think about it but i don't promise anything.
When i think about the site in english the better will be do the hole page in english but this is too much work for me , i haven't got free time to do that.
Dudydoo
No problem, don't worry about it. I just wondered if you had a translated version that was all. I was just so impressed by the layout, content, etc. that I thought I wish I could read it also.
rezza
I finally managed to get linux running on my 486. It took ages to find something that would install, and I had to hack around with it for an inordinate amount of time, but eventually I got ubuntu running on it:

clean
and
dirty

Openbox 3.2, urxvt, and dillo, the mighty mighty browser of kings!
