Just wanted to share something with u lot, i work for a school in the UK, new school, we have about 350+ toshiba laptops, wireless lan, 50+ desktops, 6 servers etc

The managment here makes me laugh...........they put a order in for 165 Dell PDA's and they seem to think the kids can do grahics editting on them to the max which made me and the other it techie guys here laugh and all this cost 40k

and sooooo far they have been out for about 1 month and we have had 25+ damaged PDA's!

anyone else know any schools with have PDA's

That wouldnt happen at my old school, the whole place would have been robbed by now.

PDA's are a bit over the top tho, is it like a school for the gifted or something?

its a posh nosh school but the kids here are a bunch of w~#n@ers.

when i was in school we had amiga/c64s to learn turbopascal. by now the kids have p3's and p4's to learn delphi, c++ and to surf the web.

Wish my school had PDA's... we have crappy computers on a new network which is 2 x as slow as the old one, and can't do anything

But i think if we had anything else it would be robbed (like some of the new pcs, 29 were nicked).. but i think we should all have a PDA for the good people, like me
