Ok, i have just install RH9 on one of my other systems. I am wanting to learn how to use linux.

Im wanting to be able to add users/network settings (proxy settings) as well as use linux as i use XP.

Where can i find a beginners guide to linux helping me on these tasks?

First of all, Redhat 9 is as old as the hills. If you want something newer, check out fedora core, or if you're not dead set on going down the redhat path, check out ubuntu.

If you're looking for GUI tools to do all the stuff you ask, then it should be pretty much self-explanatory. adding users and changing your network settings should be somewhere in the menu of whatever window manager you use (assuming you did a fairly standard install), and you're going to need to be more specific about "use linux as i use XP".

Yikes! RH9? If you are using this for home use to learn Linux, you might want to pick a newer release.

Red Hat (for home users) became Fedora Core, which just recently released their version 3.

You can use the Red Hat documents available on their website. We also have threads here on Neowin that ask the same question.
