bonds will somehow escape this one. i doubt baseball wants it's premier player/legend to be tainted.

Lessee...Barry Bond's trainer is handing out steroids like Candy, Barry gets really really good all of a sudden, but denies using them.
Those darn Flintstone Vitamins again...
Someone will come on here defending Bonds like they always do. It's obvious he's tainted, everyone knows it.
Go go Yankees, who will they get to play first now...?
well, Giambi'll still be playing. I don't think there'll be any penalties put on him by MLB.
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1101041balco1.htmlgood info right there^
i hope they take Bond's record away... He better not break the HR record. I hate his life...
As much of a yankee fan As I am... i'd be more dissapointed to see Sheffield go than Giambi... we were able to make it without giambi last season... so we'll be fine.. as we always are
yea it was obvious the whole time....go red sox!
[sarcasm]Wow...that was a suprise[/sarcasm]

Ban 'em. If Pete Rose is banned for gambling, ban him for steroids. It's far worse, if you ask me.

oh man, another one!
haha, if you started banning all the MLB players that used steriods, you'd probably be left with a bunch of minor leaguers.

hes an althete giving himself (and thus, his team) an unfair advantage. if it was for his own personal use, then fine. but its extremely unfair to everyone else in baseball who plays ethically.

You are correct. Now it is considered illegal after they busted BALCO, but back in 2003, it was legal, so to speak.
You know what I think , did this really make him that good , a mvp. I bet after hes hea healthy be back to his old self.

Only time will tell
this is what kills me....
QUOTE
Giambi is owed $71 million in salary through 2008. There is a $5 million buyout clause in his contract for 2009. He is also due $6 million remaining on his initial signing bonus, bringing his Yankees total to $82 million.
The Yankees could contend that Giambi voided his contract by using illegal drugs that risked his health. Or claim that that Giambi's steroid use misled them into granting him a seven-year, $120 million contract in 2001.
2007 and 2008 he is due 21million per year.

yeah but the only reason they locked him into a deal like that is cuz he was having great seasons. now that he is not on the roids he sucks... and the yankees feel screwed. i would too.
