Sup ppl-
I have a .mpeg that i can't play through windows media.
i look up online and a suggestion was to d/l the xvidcore codec.
I did and unzip the files to a folder.
However, I do not know the location of where WM store their codecs.
Can anyone tell me where the path is?
Am i going the right way?

1. Codec's can be stored anywhere, they are registered with Windows/dshow.
2. That's not going to decode any MPEG content you have. XviD has nothing to do with MPEG's.
3. Reinstall DirectX to reinstall your MPEG-1 decoder.
4. Install ffdshow and enable it to decode MPEG-2 if you have MPEG-2 content.
