VANCOUVER/CKNW(AM980)--We all work too much.
That's the essence of the Work Less Party of British Columbia's platform.
The upstart party is planning to run ten candidates in next May's Provincial Election; it's slogan: "Alarm Clocks Kill Dreams".
Party Policy Coordinator Tom Walker says a move to a four-day work week would be a means to an end, "What we would like to accomplish is a standard of living, a way of life, that is more fulfilling and more geared towards contentment of people, rather than fattening up the bottom lines of corporations and bank accounts and gross domestic product and all those kinds of numbers."
Walker says a move to the four-day work week had been in the works fifty years ago -- but says the cold war forced a productivity blitz in the Western world.

Alright! Seriously, the western world overworks its people. It is time for a change, continent wide. I know I would never work 5 days a week!
