You're partially right, when reading this thread it took me 4-6 clicks to go back.
What skin are you using?
It should just change back to the + Quote again.

use the "reply" one
when you press the quote button it adds it to your post, its there so you can quote multiple people

Yeah, you can quote more than one person, it's a nice feature.

Hes saying he has a problem with the actual button. Like if he accidently hit it once, he wants to undo that button, and its not going back to normal to choose a different set.
Hmm, Win XP SP2 and Firefox 1.0 final - worked just fine. One click to select, on more to deselect... 
It could just be an issue with the FX cache not reloading the image. ???
Its working for me and I'm on FF 1.0 WinXP SP2...
try clearing your cache
