... after uninstalling xfce and stuff.

Whenever I issue startx, or even a vncserver (with a xstartup file that doesn't even mention xfce,) this traybar thing always comes up:

[attachmentid=98563]

I'm trying to get openbox as my wm, and I can't figure out how to remove the task (short of killing it.)


I think this is all of my fault though. I remember reading a few guides, and modifying a few files (dunno which, though) that was suited towards xfce. I think that I somehow created a script (or appended to a Xorg script) that automatically loaded the tray. I can't seem to remember the steps I took, though, so I can't go back and just remove the offending lines.

If any of you guys could help, I'd really appreciate it.

You should be able to kill it with a:

$pkill xfce4-panel.

Save the session, and logout (or kill X.)
