Hi i have an ASUS A7V on a very very old machine of mine (3 years old) I looked on the ASUS site but they dont have the mobo listed anymore. The lowest they have is the A7V*** with the VIA 266 chipset, but i have the via 133 chipset on this.

So im requesting an update of the BIOS for this mobo, its currently running BIOS 1004C

I downloaded the ASUS Update tool, selected download bios from internet, but i keep getting disconnected from the server.

Ive got the latest BIOS download of ASUS site, but it says "Fail to verify EEPROM with new BIOS image. Please press [FLASH] button to try again or [EXIT] to abort"

Help?

The german ftp server is the best one when you update throu asus update, the other servers give me the same error.

Humm got a problem now, the comp doesn't boot, i just tried to make a dos start up disk as the computer aint flashing the mobo bios, so i downloaded aflash, it said to make a ms-dos startup disk, so i did. I restarted and my computer aint booting now... the CD-ROM drives keeping clicking on, like the computer is starting up every 1 second... So technically it keeps restarting. I wasn't able to find a CMOS battery to reset anything either...

HELP!!!
