my brother is going to be switching to a mac this week.
i know mac's dont really get viruses or spyware,
so why does apple.com sell norton for mac?
is there any reason why he needs to get this?

No need to buy it. It can remove mac os x virus's but there are none, its main per pus is to find Windows viruses that are in your Mac. It is a useless application in my opinion, but hey if you got money to burn like literaly short of setting light to your bundles of cash then by all means buy it

i doubt he'll need it, an online scan will suffice
