hey, you know when you close your power book at night and go to try and sleep and it has that annoying pulse light on the button you hit to pop the latch, is there any way to disable that, thanks!

yeah i been thinking of seeing if a small cut to a wire would do the job, could always put it back together. but my room is spotless i have oc and i would get much less sleep nowing there was a shirt on my desk.

well this is an untested hypothesis, but if my calculations are correct, turning the powerbook 180 degrees from its current nighttime location should direct any light away from you instead of into your eye.
that or a piece of electrical or duct tape cut to fit.

I agree, my friends powerbook does not look as good as my iBook when sleeping... just wish my iBook looked like his powerbook when it wasn't sleeping lol

The pulse is "cute" but it can be pretty damn annoying too.
I enjoy my pulse, its cute not at all annoying for me, if I'm doing some activity and my iBook is in sleep mode and the front can be seen I just turn it round and the pulse no longer bothers me. Not annoying not really a problem for me.

computer maker's should consider reducing the number of constant LED's they slap on their machines...seriously, there's a pretty nice glow coming from the corner of my room at night...it's practically a ****in nightlight

i guess the obvious solution is to shutdown your p/ibook before you go to sleep.. its not that hard to do really, and it solves the problem.

simple... as soon as you get up, press the power button, go eat breakfast and then come back to a freshly booted puter

If the pulsing makes you guys go crazy and not be able to sleep, you'd never catch any shut-eye in my room...
You ever thought about, I don't know, closing your eyes? I do that and I don't see it anymore! It's amazing!

But in all seriousness, the 180º turn idea sounds good, if you're that paranoid...

If you wanted you could open up the iBook and disconnect the led from the MLB. but it will void you warranty and iBooks are hard to take apart if you don't know what you are doing
