I am going to be buying i think the imac g5 1.6 and i can get it for £808 on apple.com/uk through UCAS as i have a student discount that way...

Do you think that it is likely that they will be reducing the pricing anytime soon for example jan sales?

Cheers

I doubt there will be a price reduction. You might want to check the refurb store. Sometimes you can get an okay deal there.

I'm going to buy an iMac soon but I'm waiting for the next update, maybe in Feb.

I don't think there will be a price reduction, they might bump up the speeds but that's about it.

Just wondering, never seen this before, but HOW are you getting a discount through UCAS???

Wierd, I'm sure I replied to this thread already...

Anyway, I would also like to know how you are planning on getting a discount through UCAS?

To qualify for the HE discount, which I think makes the 17" iMac £808 you have to be at UNI and access the HE shop through their network. I see nothing on the UCAS site to facilitate this...

The normal educational discount takes the price down to £863

I don't foresee any updates in the iMac line. They just came out with them in September (fine... August 31st).
