Canon PowerShot S500 ELPH 5MP 3X zoom
Fujifilm F450 5.2MP 3.4X zoom
Sony DSC-P150 7.2MP 3X zoom
Which of these three has the BEST macro shot?

Ooh. That's a toughie. Generally, the P150 would provide better macro shots because of the extra megapixels. In other words, you'll be able to crop and get closer to the object. But none of those three cameras truly excel at Macro. Nikon cameras are truly the best for macro. I can't comment on the Fuji, but I'd stick with Sony and Canon. IMO, get the Sony. It's overall a better camera and with the extra megapixel will provide superb macro shots. The S500 is nice, but is very noisy. The S410 is supposedly better than the S500.

Minolta cameras are excellent at macro, try the Konica Minolta DiMAGE X50 5MP, 2.8xOPT, 4.3xDG, 2.0" LCD, SD/MMC Card
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-126-018&depa=0macro are really closeup shots of small things
my DiMage X20 takes pretty good macros, heck mine doesn;t even have to swithc to macro mode, it does it automatically
