Does anyone know if a linux distro out there that is really small but comes with apache php and mysql installed? It would be nice if it has a good installer but does not come with too many packages preinstalled, and also no X is needed.
note. I have never used Damn Small, but I love xampp. it's integrated apache, mysql, php, perl and some other goodies (ftp server, etc)

I have had DSL on a wallet CD. I liked it. It was very feature-packed for its size, and uses flux
Other than that, pretty much any distro will do what you want. Just choose the packages you need, and don't include X or anything.

does the DSL installer let you choose not to install x and stuff? and will DSL have all the packages installed so that it can compile source of some programs?
EDIT: and thanks alot KenLin I was searching for a bit for something like xampp and I wasnt able to find anything.
