In your opinion..... what is the best SPAM filter for Excahnge 2003 and why?
Microsoft's because its free and does its job fine so no paid option needed.

assp is a free open source spam filter that can be used with exchange or other mail servers.
Microsoft's IMF is "ok" I guess, except that its spam definitions aren't updated very often AND they are standard definitions for everyone who uses IMF. This means that since the definitions are exposed to the public, spamers can study its exploits and so your spam will get worse overtime, whereas ASSP is a bayesian spam filter, which means it adapts to the latest spam messages, which are always changing.
