are there any safe/reliable registry cleaners for 2k3 Standard edition ? or do you think itz ok to use reg cleaners designed for xp ?

You shouldnt need to do such a thing on a SERVER. You build it for the role it's going to play and you it alone.
Uninstalling a service and adding another also does not mean you need to do this.

dont mined WindowsNT just use "regcleaner" or "jv16 power tools" bouth work great and are free

I can't believe someone is thinking of doing this on a server, but if it's being used as a non-important workstation it isn't so bad.
