How do i Set up Windows XP Professiona Corp Ed as a web server cause im a newbie a web site building and how would i attach a url to the web server
Either install IIS of the XP CD (Add/Remove-->Windows Components) or Apache 2 (
http://httpd.apache.org/ ).

for that you'll have to play with your router and internet and stuff....what kind of internet do you have? cable? dsl?

with that out of the way..
go to www.whatismyip.com and see your external IP. For a Domain (thats what I'm assuming what you mean by.. instead of URL) go get a dynamic domain... something like << spam >>

assuming your computer is connected to the internet, and is running a webserver (e.g. apache) then whatever content your server dishes out is on the internet.
to access it, open your ip address in your webbrowser of choice, and hit enter.
the alternative is to get a dynamicly changing hostname... if you have a dynamic IP... such as dyndns.org or << spam >>

antivirus is a good start and a firewall too but make sure you leave open the ports for the web services u want to run
