can you customize your Ipod Mini?

Actualy, you CAN change the graphics on the iPod Mini.

However, you have to reinitialize the iPod as the software for doing this is only available on Windows. It basically mods the firmware in your iPod to replace the graphics; however, if you do this, your iPod will be associated with your PC AND you won't be able to use your iPod as a portable hard disk on your Mac Otherwise, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I saw a thread about this somewhere. I think you can find it if you search Google. However, if you do this, it voids your warranty (if you have one). So far, I know for sure that you can change the "Do Not Disconnet" image, and the background color.

Where are you grabbing the idea of being able to modify the background? and btw.... using this FW hack does not void the warranty, so long as you restore it back to the standard config before you have apple take a look at the unit.

You reinstall the original firmware.

I wish I could do it easily on my Mac. I might have to fire up VirtualPC to do it.
