Well, I got my sahweet new iPod, and I love iTunes. I got a Napster 10.00 giftcard, and I downloaded some songs, now how can I import these protected WMA files into iTunes? Is there some way I can use the songs I downloaded legally?

As far as I know there is no way to import protected WMA's into iTunes...

Of Coarse you can simply burn a cd with the mp3's (as a music cd) and then rip the cd... ninja.gif

I was thinking something like that, I did that with the Sony Connect thing (free codes with a Big Mac)
Etc.
There is a tool that will un-DRM wma files called "un(f-word).exe" Look into that, then convert to mp3/aac.

cant you just burn them to a cd and then rerip them into aac or mp3?

No, nothing is encoded with anything below WMRM 7 anymore. A few years too late for that old thing

iPod can't play WMA files anyways. Importing will prove to be useless.

iTunes will convert them however, not useless if you want them to play on the iPod

Well, if you insist on putting them near an ipod....

To do it without wasting a CD, use this plugin to burn the CD in windows media player to an image, which you can then mount and rip with winamp or whatever. It will be much faster and not waste a CD.
