Hi guys. Is there any way I can output 5.1 sound from my iBook? I have looked at the Creative Audigy EX, but it seems to only have Windows support.
Any ideas?
Cheers.

i saw some usb 5.1 external sound cards, i'm not sure if those r mac-compatible tho
i dun own a mac nor a set of 5.1 speakers
I think your best bet would be an M-Audio Sonica Theater. It supports up to 7.1 output.

there are other cheaper options out there like the one above, but the m-audio has the best quality/sampling rate
Is $120 cheap? Ive been looking for stuff for my iBook as well but I think I can live without it for that much.
